Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Lecture Studio by screen: library, workspace, editor, preview and presenter mode, plus how to change them in Settings.

These are the defaults. The ones marked ✎ can be changed in Settings › Shortcuts (see Settings); menu shortcuts appear next to their items in the menu bar and follow a change at once.

Everywhere#

Shortcut	Action
`⌘S` ✎	Save the open file
`⇧⌘E` ✎	Export the open deck to PDF or PowerPoint
`⌘,`	Settings
`⌘Q`	Quit. Asks first — Quit, or Save and Quit / Quit Without Saving when the deck has unsaved edits.

Workspace#

Editor#

Presenting#

`⎋` ✎	End the presentation
`⌘B` ✎	Start a break, or end the running one
none ✎	Start or stop the lecture timer
`↩` in the minutes field	Start a break

A presenter key may be a bare key (→, Space, a function key); anything else needs ⌘, ⌥ or ⌃ so it does not get in the way of typing.
