Keyboard shortcuts
Every keyboard shortcut in Lecture Studio by screen: library, workspace, editor, preview and presenter mode, plus how to change them in Settings.
These are the defaults. The ones marked ✎ can be changed in Settings › Shortcuts (see Settings ); menu shortcuts appear next to their items in the menu bar and follow a change at once.
Everywhere#
Shortcut Action ⌘S ✎Save the open file ⇧⌘E ✎Export the open deck to PDF or PowerPoint ⌘, Settings ⌘Q Quit. Asks first — Quit , or Save and Quit / Quit Without Saving when the deck has unsaved edits.
Workspace#
Shortcut Action ⌘R ✎Refresh Library ⌥⌘1 ✎Show or hide the chat ⌥⌘2 ✎Show or hide the preview ⌥⌘3 ✎Show or hide the editor ⌥⌘P ✎Start presenting none ✎ Speaker Notes
Chat#
Shortcut Action ⌘↩ Send, or queue while the assistant works ⌥⌘↩ Steer the running turn with the text in the box ↩ New line
Editor#
Shortcut Action ⌘Z , ⇧⌘Z Undo, redo ⌘A Select all ⌥← , ⌥→ Move by word ⌘← , ⌘→ Line start, line end

Presenting#
Shortcut Action → ✎, ↓ , Space , Page Down , ↩ Next slide ← ✎, ↑ , Page Up Previous slide ⎋ ✎End the presentation ⌘B ✎Start a break, or end the running one none ✎ Start or stop the lecture timer ↩ in the minutes fieldStart a break
A presenter key may be a bare key (→ , Space , a function key); anything else needs ⌘ , ⌥ or ⌃ so it does not get in the way of typing.
Dialogs#
